Adjuno set to attend latest CSR trends on 6th June
June 6, 2016
Today, Adjuno will attend the breakfast briefing event organised by The American Chamber of Commerce, HK. Three senior representatives of the Better Work Team will provide an update on the latest CSR trends from the garment and footwear industries and engage in a discussion on how the companies can get a better return on investments in CSR and social compliance programme beyond simple risk mitigation.
Better Work is creating partnerships throughout the global garment industry to help workers and businesses. Their work aims to prove that good working conditions are a more profitable business model benefiting all. Better Work is looking to strengthen and broaden its corporate engagement beyond social compliance to include other functions such as sourcing and senior management. Better Work is also seeking opportunities to actively participate in key industry events.
Better Work is the product of two leading international organizations with strong track records in reducing poverty and increasing rights and opportunities where they are needed. The International Labour Organization (ILO) is the specialized labour agency of the United Nations with expertise in social dialogue, labour standards and the application of labour laws; and the International Finance Corporation (IFC) is a member of the World Bank Group, and is the largest global development institution focused exclusively on the private sector.
Adjuno strive to keep up-to-date with the latest trends, innovations and challenges within garment and footwear industries. As our cloud-based Ethical Trade solution helps you to meet the internal targets and external legislation your factories need to in terms of both ethical and technical compliance, we hope there will be plenty of opportunities to share our knowledge and expertise.
If you are planning to attend the event, look out for Adjuno and say hi!
