technology“QlikSense – What’s new in version 3.0” on 14th July 2016 organised by Qlik in Hong Kong. The event focused on QlikSense visual analytics which is helping organisations to manage their big data intuitively by providing smart visuals with easy to use drag-and-drop function.

During the event, the key speaker Amy Ou (Senior Channel Sales Manager at Qlik) covered below points:

  • Visual Data Preparation: a new visual method for business users to bring data together from multiple sources
  • Qlik Embedded Analytics
  • Qlik Connectors™ provides a consolidated set of connectors including 20+ new connectors to popular web sources such as Twitter, Facebook and Google
  • Qlik DataMarket offers two new topical packages, including stocks and indices and company financial reports, and more granular demographics data in essentials package

The event was designed to show those who haven’t seen or used QlikSense before what it is capable of, and for those who have experience of the product the speakers demonstrated new functionality that has been introduced with version 3.0.

To summarise the session – For organisations that already use QlikView, the compelling reason to migrate to QlikSense is that it hands the power to your customers, they can manage and report on their own data rather than you having to produce reports in QlikView.
