Adjuno Employees Give Time to Collect Food for Neighbourhood FareShare
December 1, 2016
December has arrived, winter has set in and the Christmas holidays are approaching… The perfect time to help others less fortunate. There are currently 8.4 million people in the UK alone who are struggling to afford to eat while many of us are looking forward to indulging ourselves over the festive period. Therefore, Adjuno employees have been given the time during work hours to volunteer and support FareShare in delivering much needed food to homeless hostels, refuges and breakfast and lunch clubs for the young and old.
Adjuno is enabling employees to volunteer and work with FareShare and Tesco to collect food from customers in local stores, in addition to topping up efforts by sending a financial donation to the charity. Today was the first time some of our lovely colleagues gave a few hours of their time to not only set up promotional merchandise ready for the next volunteers, but also collect food from customers as they shopped in nearby Taplow and Leamington Spa stores, with more colleagues set to help out at a store in Roundhay tomorrow.
By volunteering at local stores, talking to customers, handing out information leaflets and collecting food donations, empty trolleys are filling up within a few hours to go to this worthy cause.
Many thanks to our volunteers!
